With a Speedhawk Diesel Tuning Box fitted to your vehicle’s engine both its power and torque are increased and, as a result, its efficiency. Typical increases in performance range from 25% to 35% with a resulting drop in fuel consumption of 10% to 15% though this can be as much as 20%.

How does it work?

The Diesel Tuning Box sits between the Engine Control Unit (ECU) and the injection system of your car. It intercepts and intelligently adjusts the signal sent to the ECU from the injection system depending on the condition of the engine at any point in time. This causes the ECU to adjust various areas of the engine parameters to make it more efficient, increasing both the power and torque of the engine. The more power and torque you have the less revs are required to reach the same speeds and fewer gear changes needed resulting in significantly improved fuel economy.

Only the volume and time of fuel injection are altered during this process, never the injection or turbo pressure, and all within the manufacturer’s known tolerances of the engine, and therefore the diesel tuning box cannot cause harm to your engine. This is a non-permanent dynamic tuning of your engine based on the prevailing conditions at any one in time. Control of the engine always remains with the ECU.

The Speedhawk system comes with a USB interface allowing the tuning file to be easily updated. Just bring the vehicle in to us and we’ll remove it from your old vehicle, re-program it with the settings for your new one and re-fit it for you. You can even update the tuning file yourself so you may not even need to bring your vehicle in.

The Speedhawk Diesel Tuning Box comes with an on/off remote which allows you to switch it on or off whilst driving if needed (in bad weather conditions for example).
